Sacré-Cœur Bazilikası (France)
This Roman-Byzantine architectural wonder is the most famous icons of the “City of Light” along with the basilica and the Eiffel Tower. Its construction was completed in 1914 and has always been a popular venue since then. Because it is one of the most well-known places in Paris, it has been shown in many films such as Moulin Rouge or Amélie.
Since the basilica is built on the top of Montmartre, you can see every corner of the city from here and you can catch magnificent photographs. Be prepared to take out the 300-step stairs to reach the dome of the building where the elevator is not available.
There are no guided tours for the inside of the basilica but you can also download a free voice guide to your phone.
