Kronborg(Denmark)

Kronborg(Denmark)

Kronborg is a fortification and a calle in Helsingor, Denmark. Immortalized as Elsinore in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Kronborg is one of the most important Renaissance monuments in northern Europe and is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List (2000). [1]

The castle is located at the northeastern end of Zelanda, at the narrowest point of ├śresund in the Bosphorus between Denmark and Sweden. In this section, the throat is only 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) wide.
