Azərbaycan Milli İncəsənət Muzeyi (Azarbaycan)

It is the biggest art museum of Azerbaijan and the most important museum of the capital Baku. [1] It is located in Niyazi Street in the center of the city.

The museum was founded in 1936 and in 1943 the famous Azeri theater set designer and theater artist Rüstem Mustafayev was named. The museum is made up of two neoclassical buildings built in the 19th century standing side by side, “De Bur Palace” built in 1885 and “Mariinski Girls High School” built in 1895. [1]

The museum exhibits works of art covering various periods of Azerbaijan, Western Europe, Russia and Eastern art, and there are paintings, drawings, engravings and sculptures in the collection of the museum.

The museum is open to visitors every day except Monday, 10.00-18.00.
